If you were being lied to...would you want to know?

Yesterday, our friend Sarah Mae told the TRUTH, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Abortion HURTS women.
Women go to the hospital, or an abortion clinic with the expectation that abortion will help them in some way. Many, if not most, leave hurt...wounded...forever changed, broken and bruised.
Abortion may be one of the single most divisive issues of our day. Where the word abortion is, passion abounds.
I could write for days, no years, on my own beliefs about abortion. But information is just a click away these days. I could write about the social injustices of abortion...why I really think NARAL, NOW and Planned Parenthood are so passionate about keeping it legal. I could write about how the abortion industry makes millions each year from women in crisis and pain. I could write about deceit, the foundations upon which the industry was built (that should make you cringe) or how the latest statistics show one in three women will abort by the time they turn 40 (inside and out of the church).
But I won't today.
Today I want to prepare you for what's to come.
Next week, all across our Nation, people will be celebrating Sanctity of Human Life Week culminating on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 24, 2010. Many of you will hear sermons on Psalm 139. You'll learn how God lovingly knit you together in your mother's womb...how He has a plan for your life...a GOOD plan.
But you won't see the woman sitting next to you who is grieving her abortion that day.
You won't see her because you don't know about her past...she doesn't talk about it.
Why?
Because she doesn't know how you'll react. She doesn't know if she can trust you. She doesn't know if you're safe.
Please join me next week for a series celebrating the Sanctity of Human Life. But not in the way you might think. Next week I'll be sharing stories of people you know...people just like you who have experienced abortion first-hand. I hope you'll see how much like you they really are.
I hope you'll hear their hurt.
I hope you'll feel their pain.
I hope you'll love them and show compassion.
I hope you'll experience joy as they find healing.
I hope you'll sit in the seat of forgiveness...and not the seat of judgment.
Joining me next week, beginning Sunday January 17, 2010 is a panel of guest bloggers. Some whose names you'll recognize instantly. Others you'll know because you've walked where they walked.
I want to tell you a story.
Their testimonies will tell you a story.
Whiter Than Snow.
Join us.
You'll be forever changed.
Tell me how you feel about this series? What's your gut reaction to it?
